Cabinet Hardware--Drawer Handles

So here's the other thing. Do I want the drawer handles to be a consistent distance from the top edge? Centered vertically on each drawer face? Or some proportion in between? Here are two test scenarios. One shows the handles a consistent distance from the top edge of the drawer face, the other shows them 5/8 of the height of the drawer face.

It surprises me, but I think I actually like the equal distance from the top better. At least in the pictures. Somehow, in real space, they look to high, make the drawers look bottom-heavy.
